Experience: |
Scott
is the shareholder in charge of audits of commercial
and financial institutions audited by the firm,
providing more than 25 years of experience in
litigation support, investigative services, auditing,
accounting and other consulting services to the
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Resolution
Trust Corporation, financial institutions, oil
and gas and other commercial entities. In addition,
he also has more than 14 years of experience as
a peer review captain.
His
other significant experience includes applying
government auditing standards, specifically compliance
auditing utilizing standards established by the
“Yellow Book” and single audits in
accordance with OMB Circulars A-128 and A-133.
Scott’s
financial institution experience includes loan
and real estate reviews in conjunction with acquisitions,
as well as independent analysis of valuation allowances.
Consultation services include mergers and acquisitions,
profitability analysis and recommendations, loan
review and relations with regulatory agencies.
In addition, he has participated in fraud investigations
involving financial institutions, including field
investigation, testimony and interrogatory responses.
Scott
has developed and instructed professional development
courses on commercial and financial institution
auditing, as well as application of generally
accepted accounting principles to a wide variety
of industries. He has addressed professional and
industry groups regarding financial institution
fraud, auditing and professional liability.
