Davis Kinard’s Seymour and Haskell offices were recently honored to be the recipient of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) North Central Texas division’s 2016 Torch Award for Ethics. Nominated for this award by a DK client, Lauren Zotz, each of the finalists were judged on how the BBB Trust! Principles were implemented within their company. DK Shareholder Jeff Gregg accepted the 2016 BBB Torch Award for Ethics.

DK’s annual Community Service Day had our team members spending time helping with a Habitat for Humanity home, sorting donations at Christian Services and sorting donations and painting at Global Samaritan (pictured above).

The DK Cares Team participated in the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It was a great day, with beautiful, sunny weather. Here’s some of the DK crew getting ready to walk.

Danny & Susan Maddox, Penny Ellis, Jill Ludlum and Rhonda Johnson gearing up for the Walk to End Alzheimers.

One of the beautiful parts of the ceremony, is when all the participants get to "plant" a flower, in the Promise Garden. The colors signify different things - caregiver, has Alzheimer's, knows someone with Alzheimer’s, etc. It's a beautiful picture as walkers plant their flower and begin the walk, then retrieve it at the walk’s end. Here’s Danny and Susan Maddox after planting their flowers.

Many thanks to all of those who participated in the Walk, bought tickets for the raffle, attended the ice cream social or contributed monetarily. The DK Cares Team was able to meet and surpass their fundraising goal!

Here's the DK team who continued the tradition of tabulating votes and counting the money for the annual "Dancing With the Abilene Stars" fundraiser benefitting Hendrick Home for Children. Pictured standing from left is Courtney Baker, Katheryn Glackmeyer, Michelle Beaty (Manager/Organizer), Cara Hilbrich, and Penny Ellis. Seated are Manny Carneiro, Donna Scifres, Susan Maddox and Jennifer Eller. Not pictured, Ellen Brawley, Kristin Carnohan and Joe Melson.

Davis Kinard recently sponsored the Hearts Remembered campaign for Hospice of the Big Country. DK Shareholder, Judy Farmer (not pictured), helped out in the booth in the mall with other Hospice volunteers.
